If you are Catholic and here on a Sunday, this is a beautiful Cathedral with much history. We went to 1030 Mass and had an usher tell us about some of its history afterwards.

Built on land given to the Roman Catholic missionaries by King Kamehameha III, this beautiful cathedral is purported to be the oldest cathedral in the USA. It is a lovely sanctuary to go to and admire.

Our ship was berthed at Pier 2 Cruise Terminal and walked northwest on Nimitz
Hwy (92) to Bishop St and then north on Fort St to the Cathedral of Our Lady of
Peace. Church dates back to 1864 and was very beautiful.

This Cathedral was a amazing place to visit. it is a very old and historic church that has been very well kept. All the locals were very welcoming and friendly. The choir and musicians are in the upstairs balcony, and when they sing and play you feel like they are singing to you from heaven. We were greeted when we arrived and also when we left. This is a very great church.

You'll be amazed to step inside the oldest cathedral in the US in continued use until today. It even houses the artifact of Saint Father Damien and Saint Marianne Cope.

About to under go its first and needed renovation timed to celebrate 175th anniversary in 2018. Has a famous pipe organ, built and decorated in Hawaiian color tones. It's a very active church that supports the works of Saint Damien (Fr. Damien who worked with the Hawaiian lepers). Lots of historical reliques and artifacts

There is so much history here. I think its the oldest Catholic church in Hawaii and the only church over 100 years old that is in use. They also house the relics of St. Damien and Maryanne. It is an true sanctuary from the hustle and bustle outside which is downtown Honolulu. You do not have to be Catholic to enjoy what is here. They are trying to fix this church up after so long you can see it needs to be . It is still regal . So if you visit I hope you will feel a need to contribute something to help with the renovation, it is very historical . The priest and staff here are very nice and they will take you on a little tour or tell you about this church. Please go by there.

It was a wonderful experience being inside the oldest cathedral in the US that is still in use. Its beautiful inside and out. They offer free parking and have a small gift shop. It is right in Chinatown so its easy to walk from there and grab lunch and see other things when you are finished.
