One of the Best Beaches Around

Depending on your travel dates this beach can be real crowded. There were plenty of people--especially Japanese-- even in November.

Truly sad. Even the revamp International Market Place has no semblance of Hawaii with up market designer label shops. Can't find a single shop selling local Hawaiian products let alone Hawaiian T-shirts post card or souvenirs. Truly tragic. Make no difference if one is in LA Rodeo Drive or Palm Spring. All Hawaiian identity is gone !

My husband I walked Waikiki Beach daily and we enjoy it every time. We stop along the way to watch surfers and paddle boarders and just enjoy the beach

It's okay. It's a beach park like any beach park in any major city. An hour there was more than enough. Oahu has some stunning beaches but Waikiki is just average.

This beach is along the busiest strip in Waikiki. The sand is soft and mostly clean. Go as early in the day as possible, but after the homeless have vacated the area (for the most part). Then go back about 15 minutes before sunset to take in one of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see. In between those times... More

even if you dont go in the water, you can just sit there for hours watching the beautiful water and the calmness of it. with music in the background and the laughter of the kiddies in the water, it is such a great way to spend the day.
