The beach is more like a big swimming pool with no waves. There was no construction while I was there. It's very convenient to hotels, shopping and restaurants. I only seen one homeless person on the beach. They moved them all to the bus stops. Waikiki is overflowing with homeless. I counted 15 in a one block area. They can't... More

Kuhio Beach offers accessibility and beauty in the heart of busy Waikiki Beach. You have designer shops, boutiques and variety of foods within walking distance of the beach. Beautiful sunrise and sunset and the water is refreshing. Surfing, body boarding or just laying out and soaking the rays ... this is definitely the place to visit. Caveat: Slight challenge to... Roght in the middle of Waikiki with beautiful clear water. There was no waves at all that morning. Great for little kids. But I couldn't stand the constant construction noise across the street. By 10am it was getting pretty crowded on the beach. We took 5-10 minutes walk to Sans Souci beach. Which I preferred. It was a lot less... More

A nice stretch that continues from the busier Waikiki section. The small Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu zoo not too far off, and there s a lot of green space to see Diamond Head profile. Makes a nice stroll during the day, and but perhaps a little less popular at night - the action in the evening buzzes in the Waikiki... More

This beach is a quick walk from Waikiki (towards Diamond Head) and is far less crowded. The wall running around the water makes it look like a pool, and as a result the water is very calm with no waves. It is pretty shallow, only getting deep close to the wall, and even then it wouldn't be more than 2m... More

Kuhio Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach in the middle of Waikiki... One can do all kinds of water sports in this natural setting. The sunsets are fabulous and there are many folks there enjoying this ambiance with you. Many major hotels are near this beach and restaurants are just across the street to visit. Kuhio Beach will give... More

Safe and great for sunsets. One can take kids, but watch them. No smoking allowed on the beach. No grilling, and lots of water. Fun for all. It can be busy, but have you been to Spanish beaches, this is lovely compared to that. Easy access and meters to food and drink. Showers at the entrance.

Great beach for a swim and to catch the stunning sunsets every day. Located on Kalakaua Avenue and was right across the road from our hotel, easy access and plenty of areas on the beach for families, couples and groups to sit. We were able to use our complementary beach chairs from the hotel. The waterfront is protected by a... More

We were able to catch the sunset on this beautiful beach! It is worth the while to travel to this beach and take in the sunset.
