good day at the beach

It was great to lay in the sun and play in the water at Fort DeRussy Beach park. It was sunny and warm but not overly so. Water is cold and clear.

This area is very well kept and is beautiful well worth the walk through and to spend some time relaxing with a good book or just sitting there watching the people and the birds that are in the park. it seems to be a great place for the local people to meet and spend some time surrounded by beauty and... A great beach with more space than the ones to which the several hotels are backing to. However, the best Waikiki beach is by far the one at the back of the surfing sculpture of Duke's further East. There is a huge pagoda with BBQs and picnic tables along the beach. There are several walkways that cris-cross well maintained large... More

Located in the middle of Waikiki Beach, this park houses the US Army Museum of Hawaii. The Hale Koa Hotel is also located here. A beautiful oasis in the middle of hotels and condos.

Rare open space on the beach, a grassy park filled with beautiful trees and flora. If you are in luck, there might be an empty bench where you can sit for a spell and suck it all in. In urban planning terms, it is wonderful that no developer got their fingers on this property.

We took some wedding photos in the park on the way from our hotel to Waikiki beach. Beautiful flowers along the paths.

Had a lot of very interesting information!!! Just was not able to read it all as we had our kids with us. The helicopter on the roof and the tanks out front were a great attraction for the kids..

I used to swim here as a kid when it was private for military use only. Now it is opened to the public. The beach is all part of Waikiki beach and blends in. The hotels surrounding this part of the beach afforded food and drinks availability to those who wished and did not bring their own food and drink.
