The bandstand shows that the Hawaiian Royal family were not only well travelled but also interested in entertaining their guests in the grounds of the palace. The Royal Hawaiian Orchestra continues the entertainment tradition by holding free concerts on Friday's at midday.

The Royal Bandstand is set in the shaded grounds of The Royal Palace and was built for the coronation of King Kalakaua in 1883. It is still used for official functions today. Located on South King Street in Honolulu.

Spend a careful hour here to learn well and quite a bit in regard to the Royal history of Hawaii's history

When walking these grounds you wish the trees and the bandstand could talk...makes you wonder! I hope to see the band there soon!
