Stayed nearby so I went to Whole Foods for a light supper. It’s a typical indoor mall with a mix of stores and restaurants. I thing spectacular or extraordinary for good or for bad. It’s a mall. You need to go to a mall, I suggest here. You don’t want to go to a mall - then don’t go.

We have visited several malls on Oahu but we keep coming back to this one. It has everything we are looking for. The Long's Drug store is bright and clean and has great bargains on items to take back as souveniors - macadamia nuts, etc. I've even picked up some spices to bring home with me. Macy's has two stores - one is for men only - and we found some great bargains there. There are several places to grab a snack and lots of places to sit - inside and outside. TheBus stops right across from the mall coming from Waikiki and just outsid the mall to go back. No need to drive there. Wish we had this mall where I live.

Kahala Mall is a small shopping center with great appeal. It's the spot locals often choose to get outside of the tourist district. Sometimes you'll even see celebrities cruising the shops.

You can get to Kahala Mall by The Bus.
It has over 70 shops.
18 Restaurants.
And a Movie theatre called Consolidated Kahala 8.
Plus a Macy's,Whole Foods,Barnes & Noble and Longs Pharmacy.
It is good because you can go to the Movies then choose a nice restaurant for lunch,do a bit of shopping and then catch The Bus home.
You can phone the movie theatre on 1(877)7896684 to find out what is on.
Many movie stars and sports people own beachfront properties in Kahala.
Jack Lord from the original Hawaii Five O was one of them.

Pretty good mall without the high end shops Waikiki and Ala Moana has to offer. Nice food court center that's wifi friendly close to the Apple Store. Overall good local mall.

Kahala Mall is small yet offers quality shops and local boutiques on site. It's completely the opposite size of Ala Moana and does not require too much walking here. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner here, so much to choose from. When I was a teen, I would come here with friends to go to the movies. Taking a walk down memory lane, some parts look the same, some parts of the mall looks different. The Whole foods market is always super-packed, very popular with everyone and they have really good lunch specials, including my old-school forever favorite, lemon chicken with rice. Compleat Kitchen is now my favorite store because they have sooo many different local flavorings and spices. My regret is I did not buy enough of these local spices but I did take pictures so I can order online. I bought some of the red Hawaiian salt, known as Alaea salt and Jawaiian seasoning (a combo of Jamaican and Hawaiian seasonings) it is a bit sweet and a bit spicy! Delicious on chicken and everything else!
Longs Drugs is also my long-time favorite store, you can find really good souvenirs and tons of exotic flavored coffees, macadamia chocolates and snacks.
Other shops include Macy's, See's Candies, Jeans warehouse, SoHa living, Apple store and Cinnamon Girl.

We went by bus from Waikiki to the mall, it's was a quick 15 min ride from Waikiki for bus #23. We wanted to check out Macy's as they had a sale and was worth going there. As a tourist, thee is nothing else worth looking atThe mall. It's very small and shops cater for the locals. We went for lunch at Panda Express as there is nothing much around but the wait staff there are not as friendly!

This has got to be my favorite Friday-night hangout spot with the family. Kahala Mall has something for everyone, but it's small enough that you won't wear out your feet shopping.
But while it may be small, it isn't skimpy on eateries--Whole Foods Market, Chili's, The Counter, CPK, Kuru Kuru Sushi, Jamba Juice, Cinnabon, Aloha Salads, Gourmet Express, Starbucks, Subway, Pretzelmaker, Pizza Hut, L&L, Arby's, Panda Express, and Taco Bell among them. Kids love Carousel Candyland, Fun Factory, Thinker Toys, Barnes & Noble, GameStop, Claire's, the Apple Store, the movie theater and the fountain near the entrance. You can do some clothes shopping at Macy's, Banana Republic, Gymboree, Jeans Warehouse, Pac Sun or T&C, or visit the little boutiques such as In My Closet or LBDB. Kahala Mall isn't the place to go for "hardcore shopping", rather, it's a relaxing, indoor, air-conditioned place to spend a few hours or, depending on what you do, the whole day.

Locate the area within the store called Service Desk or similar and ask for a Visitor Pass which gets you 10% off virtually everything in the store.
