When we pulled up in our cab I thought we might be in the wrong location, the building is a rambling stucco building with clay tile roof and lots of courtyards. However open any door to any exhibit and you walk into a modern, beautiful,...More

Worth the $10. I think next time I will time my parking better. The art school was packed. Parked on the street and walked over. No hassles.

Everyone's comments are spot on. This museum is a wonderful surprise...a diverse museum with an eclectic mix of items. The star of the show is the building itself. Beautifully designed and so calming with its green courtyards, and intriguing layout. This is how art should...More

We toured the Museum prior to trip to Shangri-La and saw a trend setting exhibit on Japanese Street Fashion. Lovely architecture and shady interior courtyards are perfect for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in bustling Honolulu.

My husband and I love museums. You sometimes forget that you have these treasures in your own community . Great artists, masters. peaceful, good flow around the buildings.

This museum is not small about 15 collection rooms and courtyards. There are always exhibishion as well. But depending on your schedule, 1 hour or 2 hours will be walking through all collection rooms.

I concur with the other two respondents, but would also add that there is paid parking at the Blaisdell Center across Thomas Square and metered parking adjacent to the museum and Linekona Center.

There's an office just behind the admissions desk where people leave packs and suitcases. The staff is very helpful.
