My 8 yr old son was dying to climb Diamond Head, so the whole family went. I recommend going as soon as they open before it gets too hot. It was really a workout to make it up all the stairs toward the top, but...More

Well worth it!! The climb does take your breath away but not as much as the views once you get to the top. It is a challenge but I am a late 50's office worker and I managed it so.......

Awesome view from the top but it's so busy and difficult to get up it at a reasonable pace when there are a lot of people.

We had a challenge presented to us on arrival. Having arrived at around 4:40pm, we were told we only had until 6pm to reach the summit, return and leave. The gate staff said it had been done but it is a task. Not being one...More

Check the local weather, then back up your arrival time by at least an hour due to traffic.
Hi! Do you have to pay for the hike? Thanks!

Hi, It is US$1 per person or $5 per car to enter the park. Our taxi driver stopped just before the entrance so we could pay per person. Enjoy! dlnr.hawaii.gov/dsp/parks/oahu/diamond-head-state-monument/
