We were prepared. We read reviews on here that says it could be hard. We were quite surprise that we find it easier than expected. Just when we thought we were half way, we were actually already there. So don't be discourage and go up...More

We didn't know what to expect, the hike up is longer and steeper than we expected. Pack water, power bar and a camera you will want all three for this one.

Hike is not hard. The last 10 percent of the hike will take 50 percent effort of the whole hike. View at the top is amazing overlooking coastline.

We'll work the effort. Not a difficult hike...pretty short, less than a mile up but very, very crowded both ways...up and down!

Good hike (about 40 minutes round trip) to summit with great panorama of Oahu with scenic staircase to the top. We went in afternoon in mid-week, a very popular site.

Hi Kristy It's exactly 3kms from the Moana Surfrider hotel to the entrance of Diamond Head. It takes only about 15-20mins of brisk walking. It's a nice walk. Otherwise, there is one of those Connection Trolley buses you can... More

Check the local weather, then back up your arrival time by at least an hour due to traffic.
Hi! Do you have to pay for the hike? Thanks!

Hi, It is US$1 per person or $5 per car to enter the park. Our taxi driver stopped just before the entrance so we could pay per person. Enjoy! dlnr.hawaii.gov/dsp/parks/oahu/diamond-head-state-monument/
