Incredible campus with huge 200+ year old elm trees, plantings everywhere, gorgeous buildings (new and old), right on the sea. Fabulous place in summer. I've seen it in winter too with snow, and they got as much snow as Boston (or more) but it is milder here.

Cliff Walk is such a historic landmark and touristic attraction in Newport, and Salve Regina is rght next to it. So why not take a detour and do them both. In fact, their admin office, the Ochre Court is one of the mansions (though not always open to public), which is an architectual gem!

Two of my sisters have gone here so I have been many times, it never gets old. The buildings are lovely, more so the historic ones. A campus built in and around all the historic mansions right on the ocean. It is a lovely walk and the "Cliff Walk" passes by many of the ocean side buildings.

Salve Regina's campus has many very fine less known mansions, and if you are interested in the architecture, it is well worth taking the time to take a look. I did not take a campus tour, but enjoyed seeing the buildings, and their range of styles. As far as I know, non-tour visitors are welcome to see the interior of... More

Ochre Court, the great lawn with the Ocean View backdrop, the Wakehurst Mansion, the new library ... best place to go to school, and certainly to visit!
