An interesting part of Newport, full of independent shops and restaurants , quite a busy street for traffic so can be quite frustrating trying to walk, but worth the trip

Cobblestone street with lots of “tourist trap” shops. Also several restaurants and Ice cream shops. Nice strolling area.

Lots of places to visit. Loved the Gansett Cruise. We saw Yachts that were bigger than my house. Fun!

Thames (yes pronounce the H - not like the river) has so many great shops, bars and restaurants. A great walking sport. Park at the visitor's center on the America's cup Ave. and walk over. Something for everyone.

Thames Street is full of shops, mostly touristy, and some good bars. Be careful strolling along as its also quite narrow and cars occasionally speed on it.
