Cool self guided tour with I-pod and headphones. Rosecliff has the largest single room of any of the Newport Mansions. They also run special exhibitions, Check on line to see whats up. If you have the time, (I didn't) take a walk on the cliffwalk....More

We toured the five standard mansions in Newport last week, and Rosecliff was my wife's favorite. It simply felt like it would be a delightful place to live or to party!! There is plenty of light, and the decor is not heavy or overdone. This...More

We went on a tour with out of town guests and thought a tour of a mansion would be a great idea. We chose Rosecliff. The one thing I find about Rosecliff is that it is the most livable of many of the Preservation Society's...More

I found the other mansions with interesting history, but Rosecliff had the most intriguing history to me. I found the flooded ballroom to be such a New England story!

Lovely mansion with extensive beautiful gardens at front and at rear (sea view lawn for weddings) that has hosted at least 2 major films and countless weddings. Mansions can be rented by the Newport Preservation Society.

Beautiful place for a wedding. Unbeatable view if the ocean. Disappointed there were not more of the original furnishings to see.

We visited Rosecliff after seeing the Breakers, so it immediately seemed smaller than it actually is. It's compact and palatial at the same time. The downstairs tour gives great little pieces of juicy history (the ballroom was a skating rink at one time), and the...More

We toured Rosecliff on a snowy winter day. Even then you could sense that it must be a wondrous setting when the french doors are thrown open and the light streams in off of the balconies and terraces. Stanford White, the architect really was a...More

Rosecliff lets more sunlight through than The Breakers si it feels close to the ocean. Lots of history in this one which hosted the best summer parties of the gilded age. Where was "27 Dresses" filmed? At Rosecliff. And many more.
