Beautiful Scenery

Walked from Memorial Drive to past the Breakers where the paved path turns to rocks due to the time of day. Beautiful views and walk down the 40 steps for a nice vantage point.

A great way to walk the coast, get fresh air and exercise and see some amazing mansions. There are a few sections the path gets rocky and is unpaved.

Had a wedding in the area Memorial Day weekend 2016. Made it into an extended weekend trip and enjoyed the sites. Our family of 2+2 teens made Cliff Walk a nice half-day walking adventure (opting to leave the car behind). From our hotel, we walked to the entry point in about 15 min. At 9am parking was already tight, if... More

The cliff walk is beautiful from start to finish, passing some of the most stunning homes in all of the US. The first part, from memorial boulevard, is flat and well paved, suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The latter part becomes a bit more exciting, where you will be scrambling up and down rocks and beaches right on... More

Walked most of the Cliff Walk during the third week of September. Was a bit chilly, would recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket for that time of year. The views are amazing, and if you have the right company, the walk is very delightful! Can't wait to go back!

The Cliff Walk is GREAT good view, nice way to be active, you may see some surfers out in the waves, you can look for some tiny pcs of sea glass. People don't realize it is in the heart of the Salve Regina College Campus - Who would not want to go to College there!

We frequent the Cliff Walk whenever we are in Newport. This is a beautiful was to get your exercise and enjoy the ocean. Another perk is to get to see the back side of the mansions as you progress along the walk. Distances are marked so you get a sense of where you are and can turn around when you... More

On a very frigid and windy afternoon, we walked a small portion of the ocean-side path from the Webster Avenue entrance to The Breakers Mansion. The view of the water was absolutely magnificent. It is a must see, perhaps, on a warmer day. Some of the path had not been cleared of snow, which made it difficult to walk. Especially,... More
