A Buffalo Gem Hard to add any additional comments that have not been said previously in this column. I have been coming to Shakespeare in the Park since I can remember. This was one of the more entertaining plays I have seen. 'Taming of the Shrew' was a hit in my eyes . The new stage is fabulous and allows... More

Everyone should take the opportunity to see one of these plays. Arrive early with snacks, beverage and enjoy the atmosphere. Actors are superb, stage very updated since our last visit 5 years ago. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy Buffalo at its best!!!

This is a highlight of summer in Buffalo. Make sure you get here early as prime space fills up quickly. Bring something to sit on and whatever you want to eat and drink

This is always a great summer event. We met about a dozen friends here before the show started and had our dinner and fellowship. While eating, we were admiring the new stage, built in time for the 41sr season. By about 6:45 we had some music provided by Buffalo String Quartet and were amazed at the selection: "When I'm 64",... Thanks to the University we had free tickets, food , champagne and VIP seating. It is much nicer if you sit on the grass near the stage. The acting is awesome. The violinist was great. The play keeps changing, that gives you more reasons to watch. the drama lessens the pain caused by Shakespeare English and incorporates Spanish (in taming... More

For those who like theater and especially Shakespeare, this is a must do! Bring your foldable lawn chair, a bottle or two of your favorite , some light diner or snacks and a warm jacket (it does get cold when the sun goes down) and enjoy yourself as you watch professionally done Shakespeare. We have seen "A Winter's Tale", "Macbeth", "Midsummer's"... More

From the very upbeat review we read of the Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, the second production for Shakespeare in Delaware Park this summer, we decided to make it an evening of live theater on Thursday this past week. The weather was perfect with a bit of a breeze which made this a very comfortable outing. Arriving @ 6:15pm and... More

Only in Buffalo could you have such a great performance and it's FREE! A great cast in period clothing-including sunglasses and eating Oreo cookies. It was a perfect night. So entertaining. Romeo is handsome and Julie not only pretty but has a hypnotizing voice. The sword fights were outstanding. How did long did they all have to rehearse remember all... More

Shakespeare in the Park is a favorite summertime activity near the Rose Garden in Buffalo. It is an outdoor theatre. Two plays are featured each season: one tragedy and one comedy of Shakespeare. Tuesdays thru Sundays evenings June - Aug. Free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, refreshments and bug spray.
