It is an amazing setting among the beautiful badlands of western ND. It also has a great Pitchfork Steak Fondue right on the bluff with incredible views. Located next to the beautiful Theodore Roosevelt National Park. You can spend the day driving the 50 miles of natural, unique and very colorful badlands. You can view: wild horses, bison herds, mule... More

I'm not sure the first time I went to the Musical in Medora. It was in the last century, maybe in the 1960's or 1970's. The musical lasts about 2.5 hours It is fun and unique in an outside venue. Compete with an outdoor escalator to take you down the steep incline to your seats. Evening can be cool so... More

I visited Medora, North Dakota in July, 2016. The Medora Musical sounded like it would be an enjoyable experience outside, under the stars. It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable musicals I have ever seen. The musical is a high-energy show filled with super singing, dancing, choreography, costumes and sets. Several scenes and the finale involved horses.... More

Set in an outdoor natural amphitheater, the Medora Musical is a dance performance and musical production with a live band. After intermission they have a guest performance, ours was a BMX bicycle team perform stunts before continuing with the entertaining program that included pop country and patriotic songs, country and clog dancing, with some comedy thrown in for giggles.

Beautiful small western town in the heart of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Surprisingly nice restaurants and a charming hotel grace the center of the town. Great place to get away for a few days to clear the mind and recharge the soul.

This was a fun evening. Be prepared for lots of people and if you sit near the front like we did, it is going to take a while to get out of not only the parking lot but also the amphitheater. The singers for the most part were very good, the staging beautiful, the story engaging, and the cast was... More

This was a great little get away to North Dakota. Medora is a cute little town, and the Medora Musical is a great way to end the day. You can tell that the cast love their jobs and have a lot of fun singing and entertaining the crowd. I do think that it was a little pricey.

The talent comes from all over and it would be very hard to make it through a performance without clapping and stamping. The voices are beautiful and the music wonderful. They do a tribute to America that brings tears to the eyes. It's outdoors, seats are stadium style so everyone can see the action. Singing, dancing (even tap), horses, musicians,... More

Medora is a charming western town full of friendly people. Incredible scenery in the South Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The Musical is fantastic, take in the Pitchfork Fondue before the show starts. Lots of fun for all ages. Theodore's Restaurant is world class.
