If the falls are running you have to check it out! It was beautiful. It is VERY off the beaten path and you will be off-roading for about 10-20 mins to get there, but it is well worth the car wash you will need after.

We followed another reviewers directions to the front side of the falls (I-40 east to the Winona exit. Go north 2.2 miles to Leupp Road. Proceed 20.2 miles on Leupp Road, and turn left (north) onto Indian Route 6910. Finally, proceed 9.2 miles and turn...More

So easy to get to if you follow the directions in easier posts! Fab views and up-front experience! Can't wait to go back. Only an hour from Flag. Bring food, water and BBQ!

Grand falls is the result of volcanic lavaflow changing the course of the Little Colorado and is a great springtime side trip. Snow and spring rain runoff fuel the "chocolate milk" look of the falls. We took the kids and my parents on a Saturday...More

A very interesting place to enjoy a little out of the crowd location. Can mostly be seen in March/April because it needs runoff to form the falls. But if you have the opportunity at the right time a nice day trip. About 9 miles of...More

We visited the falls in mid March of 2017 and there was plenty of water flowing resulting in lots of spectacular waterfall action. Although I had seen pictures of the falls, seeing it in-person was really amazing! It was much more impressive than I thought...More

What a trip. In the middle of nowhere, but there are ranches and you are in the navajo reservation. Drive 8 miles on very bumpy gravel road, kicking up dust, and you come to open parking lot with some shaded gazebos. Plain Jane awesome little...More

No permit necessary, as far as I know. We just drove in from the South (I-40) with no problem. You may need a permit for access from some other direction (crossing the reservation)...I'm not sure.
