Three and one half miles of peace and quiet. Hills, long flats, and great scenery. Ive been running and walking here since 1975 and miss it, living in Harrisburg now. Still off limits to bikes, skaters and trouble makers. Used to run around it 3 times on a Sunday morn, now a brisk walk once around suffices to get the... More

This is a good long walk around scranton lake which helps provide the area with fresh water. The only downfall is the lakes conspicuous absence of toilet facilities

This trail is paved all the way round, and, since it stays fairly close to the lake, it's pretty level. Because it's a reservoir the trail stays well away from the water. It's really just a walk in the woods, with no spectacular views. Beware Google Maps takes you to the entrance that leads to the pumphouse, and consequently you... More

We stopped by for the trolley tour and this park gave us a good chance to stretch our legs and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Scranton Lake is a little difficult to find-- particularly the parking access areas. However, if you study a local map, you should be able to find it. Not sure if your GPS would be as good as some personal directions as the main parking lot sneaks up on you as you are driving. The trail is well maintained and gets... More

You follow a nicely paved trail all around the lake. It's a nice easy walk in the woods. No dogs allowed. No wheels either. Just for walkers and runners. It took us a little over an hour to walk 3 1/2 miles. The parking lot is not well marked and you have to walk several 100 feet on dirt/gravel to... More

Tried to get to in our motorhome. The only spot off of 307 where there was parking was closed off. After circling in the residential neighborhoods that surround it we gave up and stopped at the overlook point. Our brakes began smoking and before we knew it our RV was up in flames. Now we don't have a home on... More

Lake Scranton and the walk around the Lake is not only beautiful but peaceful and healthy!! I would also like to point out that may people that get married, use the Stone Deck that looks out over the Lake, especially in fall when the trees glow.

Great way to get a good walk or run in. Quiet and peaceful. Careful and watch for deer also use bug spray just to be safe. But a great relaxing area.
