You never really think of the sacrifices pur early ancestors went through to build this nation and during this tour you really feel overwhelmed that you could get a small glance at the people who built our nation. This attraction is a must see!

We were expecting a "coal mine" tour, something set up for tourists to get the idea of what it was like back in the mining days. That's not what it is at all! It's literally a coal mine that was active for many years that...More

We found this tour to the inside of the coal mine to be very interesting. We all wore hard hats as we descended down 300 feet beneath the earth into the coal mine. We went on a coal car backwards down to the historic mine...More

For a small fee, experience the life of a coal miner by going down into a once working coal mine. Volunteer guides tell you the history in coal mining which was the main source of employment in the area in the early 1900's.
