Springfield is so blessed to have this large, gorgeous park. Many lakes and ponds, accessible to all. Also lots of trails for those who want to get off the beaten path. Ballfields. Farmers' market.

Great place to see the animals at the zoo with the grandkids, play in the playground and go on the train ride around the park.

The forest park is closed for the season. I recommend a great daily event starting tomorrow after dark- Bright Nights. It is a drive through the park after dark to see great light decorations. It is a good wintr attraction... More
