Nice walk with plenty of benches through a town that's seen better days. Ducks, fish, snakes, water birds are easily spotted.

This is a two mile loop that offers great wildlife viewing as it winds along the Hawksbill River in downtown Luray. The trail is broken into colored sections, so you can plan to do some of it or the entire walk (or run). Lots of...More

This is money well spent by the city. I visit the area year and always make a point of walking this complete path. Much of it is along a small stream; very peaceful.

We saw so many local people using this walkway, both in the evening and again in the early morning. It follows the river and meanders through park areas as well as downtown. A real gem!

You can pick up a map of the greenway at the Visitors Center. It will highlight some of the things you will pass by during the walk.

A beautiful greenway with lots of ducks, parks, and dogs to pet! What a treasure that Luray has, and the town obviously takes great pride and care in it.

A beautiful walkway that goes along the creek. Several different parking areas to start from, good fishing with stocked trout and a couple handicap accessible fishing areas. We were there to check out the different species of birds that can be found there.

The Greenway is so beautiful and peaceful. I loved walking along the river and listening to the water as it cascaded down ledges of small rocks. What a nice area they have created right in the town. Great way to spend a little time and...More

It's free and a nice flat walk for kids. Plenty of water birds and fish for them to see. Bring water shoes as there are places to wade.

There are six different parking lots and entrances along the walkway. You can go to their website for a map showing locations. If you don't start at the end, I suggest using the parking lot just behind main street off of S... More
