Although the driving part was closed for the season, we still really enjoyed both the visitor center with its description of the battle / times as well as the 4.2 very well-marked walking trail. I’d like to get back here again in the fall for...More

American History is an interesting topic. It’s amazing to me that a conflict as transformative as the American Revolution takes a back seat for most people when compared to the American Civil War. A conflict that nearly collapsed the democratic experiment. I find the history...More

We make a habit of visiting the park every year we visit our daughter in Latham NY. The battlefield driving tour on a sunny fall day, with the leaves turning, is spectacular, With a degree in history, I love speaking with the guides, they are...More

Saratoga National Historical Park I recommend using one of the apps that give you a self guided tour of the 10 highlighted stops throughout the park. It's very informative. We spent about 1&1/2 hours going through the grounds. The area is wide open at places...More

An important battle site of the Revolutionary War. The area is maintained as it was at the time of the war. We had a guided tour with a very knowledgeable guide who at times provided more detail than we could absorb. We got to the...More

The Visitor Center provided a great deal of background information that helped us to get the most out of our visit. There was an introductory film that explained the battle. Even more informative was this large light-up model of the battlefield that played a presentation...More

As visitors from the UK we learned a lot about the strategic importance of this battle site in the War of Independence, particularly as it was not taught in great depth when I was at school in England. The volunteers were more than happy to...More

Saratoga's layout is quintessential "old park" in the best sense. Cozy and welcoming visitor is a great first stop before doing the park tour drive. The drive is well laid out to tell the story of the battle. The overlooks provide some great views of...More

We went to the Battlefield on a beautiful fall day to bike around the Tour Road. It was about 8 miles around, 3 reasonable hills, but the rest just beautiful. Then we stopped in the Visitor Center, (found out, no entrance fee here as of...More

I don't know. The only fee for this park was $5 per car and it was good for 5 days. There is a gift shop so you may be able to purchase passes there.
