Just back from my fourth workshop. This time with Robb Hill. Last year I did a workshop with Eddie Soloway. Consistenly Great Quality. Easy drive from downtown Santa Fe. There are accommodations on site also as well as meals on site. Spring and summer sessions are high season. Highly recommended.

The workshop was actually titled a National Geographic workshop in Cuba but was entirely contracted through Santa Fe workshops, so I am reviewing Santa Fe since all staff came from this company. It was a bit unnerving to find that Nat Geo had simply contracted with Santa Fe photo workshops to run the trip to Cuba. Along with Santa Fe... More

I found the facilitlies for rooming on campus simple but adequate. The food was excellent. I've taken 3 courses, two on campus and one in Mexico. The instructors were more than excellent and the international class had been very well researched before the students arrived. Looking forward to taking more. Highly recommended.

This was my first time at Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, participating in one of the five week-long workshops taking place simultaneously in early July. Workshop leader Brett Erickson stretched the thinking and skills of the nine participants in his Visions of the American West workshop, leading us through the process of defining our respective visions into workable photographic concepts in... As i made progress in my technical abilities on taking pictures, I felt I needed some help in printing and post-processing. After reviewing my alternatives, I decided to take a workshop with Bob Korn at the Santa Fe photographi workshops. First time in the Carmelite convent that was the base camp of 5 workshops taking place at the same time.... More

Santa Fe Photographic Workshops has been offering classes with some of the most creative and best photographers in their fields for over 25 years. The teachers and facilities are first class but one of the things I have benefited from the most is the enthusiasm of the other people in the workshops I have attended. It is always inspiring to... Great photo ops in places you might miss otherwise. Highly recommend their Cuba trip. The weekend photoworkshops I find too short. The one in Santa Fe is wonderful.

Great intentions here, but claimed excellence has some simple, respect for the customer, basics to address. Are participants comfortable as they spend hours in classrooms? Temps approached 90 degrees in the rooms. For extended periods... Even something as simple as comfortable seating took a wide pass... simply brutal, the chairs endured. Local realities changed field shoot plans - with no... More

Don't hesitate to immerse yourself for a week at the premier photography school in the USA. From rank amateurs to the experienced pro, this finely tuned, decades old institution is a dream come true for photofans. Combining classroom periods with location shoots and expert guidance, SFW is fantastic. Director of the School, Reid Callanan, has created a most respected and... More
