This was a nice capital. It definitely has to be one of, if not the, friendliest and easiest to visit in the U.S. I like the fabric art. I am not sure how people were able to craft what look like paintings from fabric. The...More

The reason to visit is to see the art both in the Roundhouse and the walk way to the annex. All art from New Mexico artists. Only a few blocks from the Plaza and free. I never understand why this wonderful place isn't better utilized....More

We stopped by for a self-guided tour. The staff we met were very friendly without exception. The day we were there it was quiet and not much going on. We were able to go into the chambers. This is well worth the time to explore.

Wow. We often visit State Capitol buildings to check out the architecture and this one is interesting for that. It is round which makes it unique. However, the reason to visit for sure is that almost the entire building is open to visitors and every...More

But this modern building indeed houses the state legislative branches and governor’s office. Starting on...More

Always worth visiting this interesting architectural locus of state government. They have a great and extensive art collection on display in their many hallways.

First I was amazed that our group entered the building with no security check. I learned that the legislators were not there and that is most likely why we just walked into the building. There was an amazing quilt exhibit of miniature quilts. We even...More

This is a pretty State Capitol with beautiful mountains in the background. Inside there were 4 floors. You can walk right into the Senate & Representative rooms as well as the Governor's office. There is a artistic glass dome and seal on the floor beneath....More

The Roundhouse is well worth a visit whether you are a local or visitor. There are three floors of artwork, much of which is lovely. Don't miss going downstairs and taking the underground walkway to the North Capital building. His area specializes in more modern...More

The best parking is across the street from the round house, I believe that is Galisteo street. That way you won't have to worry about feeding a meter. Enjoy your trip and Welcome to Santa Fe!
