Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

Each time we are in Santa Fe we make sure to visit this incredible Japanese-inspired spa. A 90 minute soak in one of the premium tubs, followed by a massage, is one of the best ways to spend a relaxing day in Santa Fe.

We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting the region and Santa Fe, and we're very pleasantly surprised. Ten Thousand Waves does an excellent and credible job of recreating a Japanese Onsen, and giving you a lot of autonomy and privacy. Overall, the design, build and maintenance of the resort and spa are first rate, as are all the amenities.... More

Just spent a wonderfully relaxing afternoon here with my hubby. I had the Natural spa package. My hubby joined me for the private soak & massage. Deidre did my massage & it was outstanding. She has strong hands and was really able to work out all my kinks & knots. My hubby had Midori for his massage which he said... More

Great massage, great therapist - but if you must go then do it at night. The spa is crowded. From the water dispensers to the staff unforms (there are none?), to the lobbyway - this is a highly commercialized bathhouse IMHO, not a Spa.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Ten Thousand Waves. We reserved a private tub and then got a 50 minute therapeutic massage, yasuragi head and neck treatment, and finally a salt glow. Amazing! Valli did a wonderful job! We highly recommend this spa!

Whether a local or a visitor, Ten Thousand Waves is a wonderful place to spend a few hours [or even stay overnight]. We go for special occasions and start with a private tub for an hour, following by massages for two and topped off with dinner at Izanami.

The community pool was recently renovated and it is so beautiful and relaxing! The cold pools are really refreshing. The massages we got were also great! The quiet room is definetly my favorite place at the spa and I just wanted to buy everything at the store. We bought mochi at the store and it literally felt like a cloud.... More

Beautiful place to enjoy wonderfully designed grounds with a Japanese theme in the foothills above Santa Fe. The private tubs are great, some come with saunas and cold water plunges. The Waterfall Tub is my favorite. The new restaurant at 10,000 Waves is also very good. Magical place to check out any time of year (at night).

The pools are fun and the restaurant excellent, but the main reason we come is the excellent message options. Four people were in our group. We went to the tubs first, then each chose a different spa treatment and each came out saying we thought we had died and gone to heaven. It was a special day!

I visit here each time I go to Santa Fe for a wonderful soak and a massage. They just remodeled their main bath area and it is beautiful
