I look forward to spending more days at Jean Cocteau. I went for an event - Songwriting with Zenobia - and enjoyed the space. Love the gallery and love that George R R Martin is the owner. Lots of Game of Thrones stuff around in the lobby.

A jewel. Great for classic movies and surprises...sometimes you don't know what's on. One small & intimate screen. Owned by George R R Martin, author of "The Game of Thrones" and you never know what surprise entertainment he will provide. When an episode of Game of Thrones was shown, several white wolves were in attendance - live white wolves. You... More

This little theater is a gem. The offerings are very eclectic, and they have a variety of entertainment and activities here in addition to movies. I love the fact that you can get an alcoholic beverage in the lobby.

We went to the theatre while in Santa Fe to purchase a book. It reminded me of a little theatre I used to go to in college to watch foreign films. It's very cozy and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The have a very interesting collection of books for sale in a lounge area with arm chairs and... More

Santa Fe has a great asset! It's a really nice place showing art house films. The box office is wonderfully old fashioned but you can pre-book on line. The coffee shop and bar are just right with tables to wait as well as fresh coffee and popcorn with lots of different tastes to sprinkle on yourself. The cinema is well... More

I drove up to Santa Fe from Silver City, a 5-plus hour drive, primarily to see Nicolas Roeg's film "The Man Who Fell to Earth" starring David Bowie in one of his early roles. The night I attended, all proceeds from the admission were donated to the American Cancer Society, and there was a representative of the ACS on hand... More

My wife and I saw an old movie here. The place is delightful and eclectic. The lobby has extremely good coffee. The place is small and intimate and was, for the performance we attended, almost to capacity. We will definitely be back as regulars :)

What a wonderful place. The people were great, the setting was great, the price was great... I loved all the signed books (especially those of "George" as he was called). The setting is quirky and intimate. Can't say enough. So glad we found this place. What a treasure.

My wife and I went to see the movie "Forbidden Games", a French movie set in 1940 France. The theater itself was beautiful. It's small, but it has character. Autographed copies of George R. R. Martin books, and books by other authors (I'm assuming local) line the shelves along the wall. The concession stand offers snack items you wouldn't find... More

I like going to movie theaters if they are small and show great thoughtful movies.... (but what I hate is a too loud sound system plus crying babies, people talking thru the w-h-o-l-e movie and generally being thoughtless and rude. In movie multiplexes that is what you get, plus you pay through the nose for the privilege. If you like quirky... More
