Who would have thought there would be a bug museum in Santa Fe?????? We spent a delightful hour looking at all the mounted bugs, live lizards, snakes, & insects. The admission is good for the entire day so we came back at 4 to watch the feeding of the lizards & snakes. Didn't catch the feeder's name but he shared... More

We took my nephew (3) to "the bug museum" while our family shopped in the mall. It's perfect for young children - lots to see and do, yet nowhere to get lost. At the entrance, you're given a small black light to wear around your neck. Use it to find critters hiding in their caves and crevices. There are also... More

The is a really fun place to go as an adult or child. I recommend going when they plan to feed the reptiles!

Thanks for the review! We feed reptiles at 4:00 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, but we feed SOMETHING everyday at 4! On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays it's fish and other aquatic animals, and on Wednesday we feed tarantulas and other arachnids. More

Very interesting exhibits, wonderful people to talk to about all things "buggy" including lizards, snakes, spiders, and daddy long legs. Wonderful exhibit of pinned moths, butterflies and beetles that was wonderfully displayed. The 15 year olds really enjoyed handling a millipede and other creepy crawlies. Great fun and a really nice gift shop that was not (as some places) overpriced.

The museum is a little misnamed. Natural oddities? More like lovely insect and reptile specimens. Over 2,000 mounted insects and several dozen live creatures comprise the museum. The place is located in De Varga mall, a bit unusual setting. The couple who run it are friendly and knowledgeable. A kid's birthday party was in session when we attended on a... More

A must see if you have children... The place is just cool and that's the best way I can say it... They have a decent amount to see and they even have a few safe insects you can touch and handle. Don't be fooled because it's on a shopping mall, it's worth it.

My husband and I went while visiting Santa Fe (because we had gotten tired of eating and shopping:) - what a fun trip! The staff was really friendly and helpful and we had a fun time walking around and looking at all of the different creatures. Highly recommend for all ages.

We enjoyed our visit. Worth the admission fee. Biggest bug collection we have ever seen. They take great care of their insects and are very knowledgeable about the insects in their care. We got a hands on experience at the end of our tour.
