Wonderful Surprise

To find the Allan House Sculpture Garden. Once of my favorite artists. Such a delight to see so many pieces on display.

My husband and I had the Alan Houser Gallery on our short list of places to go in Santa Fe. We were pleased that David asked if we were interested in the Sculpture Garden Tour - $25/pp and about a 40 minute drive (with construction) south of Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail. My husband and arrived the next day... More

80 monumental outdoor bronzes beautifully sited along paths winding through Juniper covered hills. Extremely knowledgeable and cordial guides. Starts with a short introductory video in a Visitors Center, than about an hour walking through three areas where the magnificent collection is displayed. Concludes in an indoor gallery where another 100 smaller sculptures, paintings and drawings are on display. A must... More

A bit hard to find, South of Santa Fe a few miles off of state highway 14, this sculpture garden is large, well presented, and has a number of very unique pieces that you will spend a great deal of time enjoying. They include a tour of the foundry, demonstrating the casting process, so it is educational as well as... More

Well worth a visit while in Santa Fe, to see these moving art pieces by the famed Native American sculptor.

This was the scenic highlight of our trip! We first visited the Sculpture Garden in 1995, its opening. We went on a tour ($25.00) escorted by a senior staff member thoroughly familiar with the artist and each piece in this extensive walking tour. He was knowledgeable about the stone and bronze pieces, many standing well over 6' high. Beautiful. Don't... More

We went out to the sculpture garden- which is out of town in a fairly remote spot- where Houser had his studio. Many of his large pieces are displayed in the open air with the natural setting making the sculpture that much better. Very knowledgeable tour guide who is an artist herself. After the garden, there is a home converted... More
