It is one of those splendid old preserved venues that often appear IN the movies but are not often a reality in communiities with multiplexes. The preservation of the Lensic has made one of the great sites for almost any of the performing arts, we have seen three performances, the Met on HD, a National Theatre Anniversary and live jazz... The Lensic center brings real talent to Santa Fe!! It's amazing how you can walk in for a show and the performers are so close to the audience. Pretty good set up. I've seen some really famous people here. Glad this place is in my town.

While you're in SFe, check out what's happening at the Lensic, the exterior is Moorish/Spanish Renaissance style and the interior is like a little jewel box. Nancy Zeckendorf completely remodeled the place in 2001 from a movie palace to a state-of-the-art, nonprofit performing arts center. It's fantastic and Bob Martin brings an enormous variety of music, dance and community together.... More

Catch a performance of the wonderful Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, a lecture, film or musical performance at this downtown Santa Fe venue. They also feature live opera performances from the Met.

I was recently at the Lensic again for a jazz performance featuring Terri Anne Carrington, Geri Allen and Esperanza Spalding. This venue is the essence of Santa Fe, and I have seen many a performance at this location, since I moved to NM 17 years ago. There is no bad spot in the house and the acoustics are excellent. A... The one dance that was right before the intermission was the dance that THE word DANCE means when you use it. Oh my: touch, motion, emotion, tender soft sound and expression of breath taking form. So glad I was a witness.

Those of us who live in Santa Fe are grateful to have such a splendid theatre and arts center, carefully renovated with superb sound and visuals. My husband and I probably attend 2-4 events a month, everything from Santa Fe Pro Musica concerts to MetHD to well-known speakers. Any visitor to Santa Fe should check the Lensic's schedule. There just... More

This amazing 19 year old is one of the finest pianists I have ever heard. If you have a chance to attend one of his concerts, please don't miss. The 2013/2014 Pro Musica season lineup looks exceptional.

This theater is absolutely beautiful Its accoustics are perfect. It is not a huge house so all the seats are good. We saw a tap dancing show there that was terrific.
