Off season but still good for a visit.

Very large variety of plants and flowers all with signage to identify. Open areas to walk and enjoy the weather

We stopped here on Monday. Hours say they open at 8 a.m. We were there at 9:30 a.m. and not an employee around. Everything locked up tight. So no ability to read about anything or learn based on what they centers would have available. Didn't have a trail map cause they were closed so we didn't feel like hiking without... More

We enjoyed our walk through the Audubon Center but really didn't see birds. Probably if one would sit quietly for a period of time you probably would find more birds. We have seen more birds on other walks around Santa Fe but it was probably a matter of our timing. Still it is great to have a place like this... More

This is definitely a place you would want to visit in the Spring. There was some birds flying around but it was very windy and cool when we went.

We visited during the middle of the day. Very good trains in the hills just outside of Santa Fe. Weather pleasant; some ice on trails, but not a major problem.

The trails were muddy, unkept, poorly marked. We've been to many across the country and this was very disappointing

Friday afternoons 2pm a private tour of the home is conducted, which has been left mostly unchanged since he died in the 60s. Saturday mornings 8:30 audobon-led birdwatch tours definitely a must to learn to identify the many beautiful birds in the area.

We are young enthusiastic birders. We visited this place in early February in the mid-morning. It was quite cold and we did not see many birds on the main trail (perhaps due to not arriving in the early morning or the time of year). We had more luck exploring the area near the river and the road leading up to... More

Well groomed and well marked hiking trails, peaceful and saw lots of birds. Also, staff provided helpful maps of area and also recommended Nature Conservancy down the road.

At least 100 years ago, Randall Davey, a young painter of independent means, selected this site at the entrance of the Santa Fe Canyon, where Canyon first turns to a dirt road and the winds into the mountains, for his residence. He had to buy a lumber mill in order to proceed, and upon his death turned it all over... More
