The church is in Laguna Pueblo. Photography is prohibited on the Pueblos, as usually is drawing. Visitors need to show respect and do some research before visiting any Pueblo as some are much more conservative than others. The best times to visit are during traditinal dances, feast days and related activities.

I stopped by the Pueblo and visited the Mission. Very calm and beautiful. Afterwards, I saw a sign for Route 66, so started down that road. I apparently took a wrong turn and was cut off by an angry young woman, who screamed at me to delete my photos and leave. She said I should have seen the signs, which... More

Built in 1699, by refugees of the Pueblo Revolt, it was not built under duress, like all the other Southwestern missions, but with love.
