We decided to walk up the stairs from Paseo de Peralta by parking at the nearby (metered) parking on Hillside Ave. The meters do accept credit or debit cards if you don't have change - $2 per hour. The view is great once you get...More

Don't go up there looking for a fort; there is none. A pretty view though worthy of a few pictures. It is a panoramic view with mountains in the distance.

The walk up to the Cross of the Martyrs is all uphill, but there are plaques along the way which give an outline of the history of New Mexico. It feels as though you're walking through a timeline, and at the end you are rewarded...More

We had dinner at the shed and walked up a paved to see the sunset. Beautiful views of the mountains and lovely sunset. So glad we did this.

My husband got down on one knee and proposed to me at the Cross of the Martyrs. It was a summer evening and the breeze was mild. The view of Santa Fe was lovely and the wind carried the sounds of the city up to...More

This is the absolute best place in Sante Fe to watch the sunset! GPS will take you to the front of the cross and you can make a short walk up. By doing this, you are able to read the placards along the way that...More
