Canyon Road is Santa Fe's historic arts district. Home to over eighty art galleries, as well as boutiques, restaurants, and historic adobe homes, it is the cultural center of Santa Fe. The galleries on Canyon Road show everything from traditional southwestern Pueblo pottery and quintessential Western art to contemporary abstraction and computer and digital art. Take time to explore; there's a little something for everyone here.

Canyon Road is an experience on its own with art, clothing, jewelry and cafes. Take your pick and then stroll up and down the hill browsing and shopping. Be sure to allow plenty of time because there is lots to see.

Spend a day walking through a mile of creativity. An astounding array of quality pieces. Gallery owners exude local pride and very welcoming. Plenty of cafes to stop in for a coffee or a snack/light meal.

Santa Fe is all about art galleries, and Canyon Road is the narrow, winding heart of Gallery country. Park at the bottom if you can find a spot, visit some galleries uphill, walk back down to your car, move it uphill a ways, and repeat....More

This is where all of the great quality art is in Santa Fe! Whether you buy or just look, you won't regret checking out the galleries full of paintings, sculptures, clothing and more. I felt confident that any purchase here would be authentic.

Just wish we had another day to explore more...so much to see! Parking can be tough but we were visiting during Indian Market so it might be less congested other times of the year.

What's incredible about Canyon Road besides the art galleries is the wonderful architecture of the many galleries that are in old homes. Each gallery has a different vibe and different types of art. A little hint, is to park in the first courtyard driveway where...More

It's a narrow road with cars and buses. I also did not see places to lock up bikes. You would be better walking as everything is right beside each other.

Likely, the hotel can arrange a rental care for you. Of course, Santa Fe is a walkers paradise so you may very well be able to walk Canyon Rd from your hotel if you are near The Plaza.
