A very different take on art. Especially Native American Art. Currently (late April) two of the galleries are undergoing renovations so they have reduced the admissions to $5. But still worth a short visit.

We decided to stop in as we were wondering around Santa Fe, glad we did! Enjoyed the art and it felt like a very accessible museum.

What a wonderful museum featuring native artists. The printmaking exhibit was my personal favorite. Also the very large piece made with dirt was mind boggling. Plenty of videos of the artists explaining their work. The creativity is amazing. The gift shop is good but I'm not much of a shopper so I didn't linger as much there. Go, enjoy, and be... More

The museum is hosted by a wonderful building in pueblo style. The small yards and statues are very attractive. Inside there are good pieces of contemporary native art. However, the price if the ticket is pretty high compared to what you can see and the time to spend in.

This museum was directly across the street when I left the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi so I walked through the entryway display area / gift shop and then walked around the building to view the sculptures and exterior decor. I enjoyed seeing the part I did but didn't enter due to time limits.

This is contemporary art by native artists. Go when you have time to really read the stories of the exhibits. One favorite was an exhibit of works by three generations of Inuit women from Alaska. Small museum, but very cool

We were lucky enough to catch the Rick Bartow exhibit in late December 2016 and saw his work along with some great video works. Bartow's work was magical and made a deep impression on me. It was an interesting example of ideas/images that I am unfamiliar with but affected me on a level I normally don't experience in a western... More

This museum does not take long to tour so you can easily add it on to a day of touring in Santa Fe. There were some interesting pieces upstairs (including an amazing sculpture by an unknown artist!) and a large exhibition by an artist, Rick Bartow, neither of us really liked. Our favorite, though by far, was an exhibit of... More

This is a small but interesting museum. It was easy to move through, and I enjoyed the time I spent there. I visit art galleries in every city I visit, and this one is different from any other I have seen. The gallery is worth visiting if you like art.
