We came here as part of a tour of the island in December. It was most beautiful then. In the summer it must be out of this world. The obvious history, the stamped kiln brick pathways, the hotels, the harbour.... Wow!

We actually had a whale watch tour the day before we visited the park, but heard that there were several Orca sightings from visitors at the park. The transient pod was in the area and we were lucky to see two Momma's and their 3 calves. So we couldn't get enough and came to see more whales from the park.... More

Lovely site to easily walk to. Amazing views of the Sound and passing tanker ships. Perfect place to snap a picture of the lighthouse with a loved one. I imagine this would be the place to be for the sunset.

What a wonderful little State Park. Perfect for lunch, little hikes and whale watching. We were there in November so it was cold and windy but still an amazing view of Victoria and Cordova Bay. Highly recommend whether you spend 5 minutes or 5 hours!

Didn't see a whale, but there is the possibility and there is an underwater microphone there that is very interesting. Beautiful place for a picnic.

This is the place to see whales, if they are nearby. Great trails. Love the Madronas, which are everywhere you turn. Bring a picnic - there are some amazing tables with endless views.

As soon as we arrived on the island, we checked into Kirk House B&B, then headed to Lime Kiln to see orcas. We weren't disappointed. There must have been 10-15 grouped together just offshore. I got some great photos with a 70-210mm lens. The woman who maintains the Whale of a Purpose blog was there narrating the whole thing and... More

Over the course of a summer, I spent several evenings watching the sunset by the lighthouse. It is a wonderful spot for this, with great colors and watching the boats, far off mountains and BC. My group was lucky enough to see the pods of whales traveling south a couple of these times. It is a well known spot for... More
