The shopping is something my sisters and I still do at Market Square. If you get a chance stop in Metiare's...their tres leche cake is to die for.

Browse around, enjoy the colors, fabrics, smells, tastes. Lots of shops for you to cruise through. Most carry the same types of merchandise. Jewelry, pottery, crosses, home decor, t shirts, the list goes on and on. Prices steady throughout the market. Make an afternoon of...More

You can find some very nice things at the market. Be aware that there are also very cheap imitations.

This was a cool place to walk around, grab a few bites and do a little shopping. I would say plan to go for 1-2 hours tops. There are better things to spend your time on but worth a quick trip if you are there.

A lot of Mexican made items here. Check prices....they do vary. La Tierra restaurant very good but crowded. Overall good time. Figure half a day with eating.

Right across the street from our hotel. All vendors were friendly and not pushy at all. Some give 15% discount for cash so that is good to know. There are many shops, a lot carrying the same merchandise, just like being in Mexico.

I agree with a spending cap. I would say for food AND a souvenir-$50. I also would empower them with the phrase "not yet". There are so many high pressure sales going on in this market. Let them know that they are the one in... More
