By appointment only! We strongly recommend booking at least 30 days in advance! Seriously!! San Antonio Western Shooting provides a safe, supervised fun Western Shooting Experience using real guns and real bullets. We provide instruction in the safe handling shooting of all guns. No experience necessary! You will have the opportunity to shoot reproductions of guns such as the Colt 1873 Peacemaker pistol in a western setting. When you get used to those guns we will have you shoot the double barreled shotgun. Shooters will shoot about 75 rounds and it will take about 3 hours, the cost is $130 per person. All of our shooting sessions are by appointment only! Sorry, no "fast draw" or "twirling" of guns is permitted. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted onsite. Guests may bring observers at no extra cost. See our website and Facebook page for more information. Unruly children will be sold to the Comanche.

We had a fantastic time at a Place to Shoot. The guys were fantastic and gave each guest lots of attention. We brought our 13 year old son, Wilson, who has autism. He had a fabulous time and learned so much from the hosts. We really appreciated all of the patience and time that they took with him. It was... More

This was my first time shooting guns, so I was quite apprehensive at first, but all of the instructors were amazing, the experience itself was amazing, and my husband and I ended up having a really great time. Just make sure to check out their website, and make reservations for a selected date as sessions are always by appointment. Best... More

My 16 year old daughter and I had a great time learning a lot about western shooting. We will forever have a greater appreciation for the Wild West! We got to shoot rifles, pistols, shotguns. Unique experience and genuinely fun!

A great time we had here last year. Much much better than going to a shooting range. Instructors are great. and the guns are classic western guns. Small groups make the instruction more or less one to one and very safe.. A real highlight of our our trip to SA

I wasn't sure if I could cope with shooting but I need not have worried as the instructors were so good and made three hours such fun. We learnt all about the 19th century guns and had friendly rivalry between couples. The best bit was splitting a bullet by aiming at the blade of an ax head-on. Never in a... More

My 17 year old son and I spent the morning at San Antonio Western Shooting and had a great time. We were the only 2 participants due to a last minute cancellation by another group. We received a lot of personal attention, and learned a lot about the history of the weapons we used. There was practice and a fun... More

We had a great time. I was nervous since I had never shot a gun before, and was not sure I was going to have a good time but by the time we left I could not stop talking about the great time we had! The instructors could not have been nicer and more patient. They walked us through everything... More

We went with my boyfriend to San Antonio Western Shooting range at the end of May 2015 during our vacation time. It was the first time shooting for both of us, we never did it before; and I must say that was THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We really felt like real cowboys!! They taught us which was the best way... The instructors had endless patience when dealing with novices and brought me through the experience safe and well and with a modest sense of accomplishment. I’d recommend it without reservation. Using the weapons memorialised in movies and television series from my childhood was fun. Using them responsibly realising there could be consequences was down to the professionalism of the team... We took out of town guests here for a one-of-a-kind San Antonio experience and it was worth the cost and the drive! The staff at San Antonio Western Shooting were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. From the novice to the expert in gun handling and marksmanship...they made sure everyone had a wonderful experience. Even if you think you are well versed... More
