When in the San Antonio area, visiting the Natural Bridge Caverns north of town is a definite must. The cave formations in these caverns surpass what you see at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. It's a short system compared to Mammoth, but it's got everything. The walk is steep, as these caverns are deep, so wearing shoes with rubber soles is... More

I have personally toured this in the past & it was a fantastic tour. I now send groups of high school students their on field trips and they come back every time saying how much they loved seeing the inside of the cave. An educational experience for all!

The caverns were beautiful and very interesting to see. I was not prepared for the steep and narrow pathways and very hot climate. This is not an activity for people who are not in good physical shape. I'm glad I experienced it once but very physically demanding. I would wear very cool clothes and take a bottle of cold water... My husband and I did the Discovery Tour. It was about 60 minutes long and took you through the caverns. The guide was pretty knowledgeable and did a good job. First time I had been in a cavern since I was young. Just beautiful! You do need to be in decent physical shape, steep path up and down, a few... More

We've been in nearly a dozen caves in the United States and this is one of the best. There are a number of tour packages so we chose the "Hidden Passages" tour and the "Discovery Tour". There are more demanding tours for adventurers plus a wide variety of activities surrounding the cave. Plan on spending several hours here and it's... More

I love to visit caves and caverns. This one is especially beautiful - as is the one in the Georgetown, Texas area. Texas underground is SPECTACULAR - and this cavern is worth the short trip "off the highway" to see it.
