Very interesting and historic. A short walk from the Riverwalk downtown. Worth the walk. It is very close to the Mexican Market.

Experience one of the most beautiful Catholic churches here in Texas in San Antonio. It may be a small church but the inside is original and very emotional to visit. Please make the effort to visit this when you plan your trip to SA. Enjoy!

This is one of the most impressive churches I have gone through. I myself, have been through it countless times with visitors, and my family members. I would highly recommend this cathedral anyone visiting San Antonio.

I took a long walk around San Antonio and ended up at the Cathedral. The plaza in front reminded me of Spain. Beautiful place and it was interesting to see the graves of the Alamo heroes, Travis, Crockett and Bowie. Nice quick history stop.

You will love the San Fernando Square that surrounds the church. There are vendors of all sorts and shops near by. This is my hometown and all of this is new and a "must do" when in town. You can walk here from the riverwalk. There is also a laser lightshow called "The Saga" every Tue-Fri-Sat-Sun starting at 9-930- or... More

This is a beautiful historic cathedral in downtown San Antonio. The remains of Bowie, Travis and Crockett are laid to rest here. On Tues, Fri. Sat & Sun during most months there is a light show at night on the outside of the Cathedral. It is called San Antonio/the Saga and was developed by a French artist named Richemont. I... More

This cathedral is beautiful. When I first found out that remains of Alamo heroes rested here, I began planning a visit. We connected the visit to our annual San Antonio Christmas Day trip this year. I was mostly concerned with seeing the memorial, but was then delighted to find that I could actually walk in the cathedral and tour it.... More

The oldest church building in Texas (over 281 years old) and the first church founded in San Antonio. The cathedral is the site of multiple ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals as well as mass (including televised services), adoration, and reconciliation throughout the week which are attended by thousands of residents. There is an adjacent gift shop. Located in... More
