The wait to have breakfast or brunch on the patio at the Guenther House is well worth it. You can view the historic home, which has the original furniture. Its like stepping back in time. They also sell cookies and snacks in a little bake shop, which are great treats while you wait for a table. The food is delicious,... More

We were not sure what the house was all about but it is the family that made and still makes the "White Lilly" flour products. There products are amazing. We did not make a reservation (1 1/2 hour wait) but had we known how good the food looked and the snacks we bought were amazing, we would def make a... More

Guenther house is a restaurant that is located in the building that used to be that of the owner of the adjacent Pioneer Flour Mill, C. H. Guenther. It is a museum and restaurant and gift store. The breakfasts here are outstanding. You can choose from traditional meat and egg combinations or a fruit plate as well as biscuits and... More

This was an historical place that is a must to visit. The grounds were beautiful and the food was excellent. The museum was specular. We took a cab from our hotel then walked back on the river walk.

Awesome food, can't order anything bad! Beautiful grounds to stroll while waiting to be seated. Touring the house is a sweet way to get ready to taste the scrumptious food. And you will have to buy something at the lovely gift shop. Great ambiance!

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday around 1 and there was no wait. The chicken and waffles and grilled chicken sandwich were delicious! The waffles were sweet like a dessert! The service was fast and friendly. We also enjoyed looking at the upstairs part of the house. It was a great stop on our busy day!

We stopped in to the Guenther House, late in the day, just for lemonade and strudel. Our trolley tour guide had recommended we look around and grab a 'snack' and we were very glad we did. The strudel melts in your mouth! Unbelievably good! I would recommend the Guenther House to anyone. If time allows, look around upstairs. This place... More

Out tour took us to breakfast at the Guenther House which was enjoyed in our private room. The breakfast included hot and cold (a chance to try biscuits and country gravy) with fruit and pastries. Service was 'efficient' but not overly friendly however we all enjoyed the experience and the shop / museum was worth investigating. A lovely location. well... More

Great, historic place that is a hallmark restaurant of San Antonio. It's one of those signature restaurants off the Riverwalk that are worth the wait - typically 60-90 minutes. They have a small historical area in the restaurant to tour while you wait.
