We visited the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Rangers museum and found it very interesting. We learned facts not previously known about the Texas Rangers and their involvement in history. The displays are unusual and contained a large amount of mounted animals. The museum is larger than appears from the outside appearance. After viewing the museum, we had lunch in the... More

The food was good here but the best part are the museums and the employees. Real characters! Very Texan experience. There is a free skeet shooting video game that I took advantage of. Interesting layout and artifacts in the museum. Definetly worth a visit!!

A friend recommended this and said it was so Texas that we had to visit. We stopped in for lunch and had to sidle up to the bar for a drink under the hundreds of trophy animal heads. Loved it because my sense of humour was on high this afternoon. Fast food sandwiches and burgers (really good burgers with freshly... More

It was interesting to see in some cases animals that are now extinct. While some of the exhibits are a little confronting it is a reflection of how life used to be.

Kind of hokey, its ok if you like a lot of stuffed animal and heads, a lot of fake stuff in the Texas ranger side.

Enjoyed discussing local history with the bartender, Javier. Good selection of beers and other adult beverages.

We expected a little bit of memorabilia and was pleasantly surprised at the size of this display. Lots of Texas Rangers history and over 500 stuffed animals I believe. So many more interesting things as well. We really enjoyed it.

This is a fun place to have lunch. Counter service is available with many tables for dining. The bar is authentic, and there are trophy animals on all of the walls. Prices are reasonable. Not the greatest fried pickles, though - way too salty. We did not do the Museum tour, but my grandkids had fun in the game room.
