The Riverwalk was nice. The weather was in the low 80's, so walking several miles was not a problem. There are several things to do and see. Shopping and restaurants were located all alongside the river. I am not a big shopper, but I did enjoy seeing the Cypress trees and the historical sites along the way. I would recommend... More

Go both ways - away from the city and to it. The variety of art, landscaping, restaurants and shops is great. Visit the Pearl.

I can't imagine visiting San Antonio and not visiting the River Walk! Have been here several times, and it is fun each time. It can get really really hot in the summer, but most places have the a/c going inside the restaurants. There are mostly restaurants and bars lining both sides of the "river", and there is a big mall... More

I have been on the Riverwalk around the downtown/convention area and it is pleasant, but I found it most interesting when I walked along it from the Pioneer Mill/King William district. It is very peaceful with pleasant, shaded scenery.

Stroll along or take a barge tour. Gorgeous scenery and plenty of places to stop to take in a concert or just to enjoy the view. Restaurants along the way provide plenty of options. Also found places to shop.

During Fiesta it's so busy and beautiful at night, everything lights up, pretty girls all over pop up everywhere, high tier established restaurants and bars all over the place.

We loved walking and enjoying the sights and sounds of fiesta along the River Walk. There are many hotels, cafes, art galleries, bands playing, mariachi bands, boat tours.

You should see the riverwalk at night! What a breathtaking view of history and nightlife. Take the boat rides early and go shopping afterwards. You wont regret it.

Great restaurants to choose from. Can be a little tricky to navigate when the crowds roll in. We took one of the cruise tours in the early morning to avoid the heat. Great history lesson and a lot bigger than you initially think.
