It is simply a quaint, recently built and renovated part of the city, near the water, where people sell stuff, and others buy stuff and eat and be merry. Nearby is a hotel and marina.

Once a thriving area of charming shops and quaint restaurants, a revitalization project on historic Salem Harbor, a destination location for visitors from all over, now a dilapidated, run down area of cheap witch shops, novelties. Disgusting, disappointment, ever since the Rocketts got them filthy...More

Take a trip to the wharf. There are a fine collection of shops and restaurants with fantastic seafood. Easy to get around and just wander.

I visited the Wharf while staying in Salem in mid-October, we stayed nearby and walked around the Wharf. The ship was not there (being repaired elsewhere) but the views are nice and there are lots of little shops nearby.

We walked around here while exploring Salem. It is in the middle of the seaport area. Very easy to access and close to places to eat, shop and explore.

Loved the view! So many shops to pick from and they are all different in their own way! The view is superb!

Everything is pretty walkable so I would recommend looking for street parking somewhere near the warf. There are plenty of benches and little cafes or places to grab a seat if you need a rest. Always tell people to find a... More
