This area of Salem is so beautiful. We saw it a few times on the trolley tour. We decided to take a long, scenic walk one day and enjoyed the beautiful sites of the park! It's a must stop in Salem.

It's off the beaten path from mainstream Salem, but I still walked it without any trouble. Not a huge place, but big enough to get some time alone with the shoreline, which you should definitely traverse if you're feeling daring because you'll get some great...More

We drove up here for a view of the water and it did not disappoint. We parked in 1 hour parking so did not have to pay any parking fee. You can walk all the way up to the lighthouse which is cool. The views...More

We arrived at about 10 in the morning - paid $15.00 to park (which I thought was a little steep for a small park). There is a beach, a lighthouse, an old sea plane hanger and a fort. There were a few plaques to read...More

Found the park while wandering around the area. Absolutely lovely pictures of the inlet and its small lighthouse. A trail will take you to an overlook of the area with a lovely rocky shoreline. A nice location to sit and enjoy the water. When the...More

Great place for kids. It has everything you could want and it's so close to downtown Salem. Can't wait to go again in the summer.

I went there a number of times when I lived in Salem. There was a boat ramp there and it was convenient to kayak from there. Also there were picnic facilities and a nice view.

We found this place by accident just because we were looking for lighthouses to visit. It was an adventure going down the stairs to the rocks around the lighthouse. It was so peaceful and they have lots of signs around telling about the history of...More

Stopped in quickly to view the ocean. The staff at the gate were very friendly and the view was beautiful. The lighthouse was the best part.

Hi, We are planning a trip to New England for Fall 2016 and are looking at flying in to Boston and renting an RV for about 5-6 weeks. Of that time we plan to spend about 4-6 days near Boston but will be travelling up to Nova Scotia and across to Montreal then back through Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine etc. If we were to stay at Winter Island how easy is it to travel into Boston on the Rockport line. Would we need to cycle to Salem station from the campground or is there a shuttle to the station? Thanks Stephen, Sydney Australia.
