The Visitor Centre is just across the road from a central car park and is a great introduction to Salem. The staff there are both friendly and helpful and there is a video running which introduces Salem and its historical significance.

After parking in the local garage, this is the start of the trolley tour and walking tour. Not much history in the center.

The visitor centre itself is well done, and staffed by helpful volunteers, however, the town itself is full of stores playing on the idea that there are witches, ie psychics, Palm readers, tacky gift shops.
