Phillips House is the only home on historic Chestnut Street open to the public, and it provides a glimpse into the private world of the Phillips family during the early decades of the twentieth century. The kitchen, pantry, and a domestic staff bedroom, present a rarely seen picture of how the great houses functioned as new technologies were being introduced.

Very cool to see the non-witch side of Salem. This beautiful mansion is well preserved by historic New England. The tour guide talked just the right about each room and really focused on what we wanted to know.

This endowed historic home is a gem on Chestnut Street. Admission is free and the guides very informed on the period. A great example of family life for people of privilege and their help.
