Museum & "Haunted House" in Oct

I will start by saying I am very biased by the very professional haunted houses in other places that are months and months in the making. However, if you pay extra during... read more

When we were in Salem for Halloween this past year Count Orlok's had a sign promoting the man that played Michael Myers from Halloween. They were charging $20 to take a picture with him at the exit. We're glad we didn't pay; when we exited he was smoking a cigarette, wearing nothing indicating he played Michael Myers, looking really apathetic.... More

I will start by saying I am very biased by the very professional haunted houses in other places that are months and months in the making. However, if you pay extra during October for admission to the nightmare museum and come back later and stand in line for 2 hours for admission to the haunted house. I expect more than... More

Small, touristy "museum" that has wax figures of popular monsters and characters from horror films. Since I'm familiar with old horror films, I really enjoyed it, but there were people around me who didn't know any of the characters and so it was probably dull for them. No photography allowed.

You really enjoyed it but only 3 stars? Were you rating the museum according to how the people around might have thought? Also you may have found this MUSEUM to be small but it is literally the largest museum of it's kind on the east coast because it's a bit of a niche attraction which does attract a lot of... More

Please go see this if you are into horror movies at all. Take the time to walkthru and read the descriptions and see the interesting objects and collections. This was a fantastic way to spend an hour.

This gallery is definitely worth checking it out. Our tickets came free from one of our hotels nearby but I would have bought one anyway if it did not. We met Tony Moran from the movie Halloween before getting inside the gallery and took pictures with him. He was also signing autographs. The gallery has life size wax figures of... More
