Very interesting, about the times, of the withches, in Salem, A very informative tour. Unbeliveable witch story. Was able to see, the jail cells, and how they were hung.

Our family enjoyed this museum/attraction, and it helped pull together many elements of the story of Salem. The opening drama was pretty good, although the mannequins were a little distracting from the humans. The dungeon itself was interesting as well. The receptionist was rather brusque...More

The reenactment was very engaging, as was the description of life in the dungeon. The dungeon is not in the exact location it was more than 300 years ago, but it was recreated with historical accuracy. Some of the history recited and posted on the...More

This museum gives you a great understanding of what happened after a person was accused. You see a live reenactment of one of the trials and then go downstairs to a scaled replica of the dungeons where the accused were kept. You're able to take...More

The historical overview and acting at the beginning was worth the price of admission. The Dungeon in the basement was average except that it houses one of the beams from the original 1692 Salem Dungeon.

Not especially impressive to SEE, so much as to hear. The people working there are highly knowledgeable and friendly!

Don't listen to the negative reviews. People are expecting this to be like Independence Hall or something. Salem is a small town and the museum is very well done for the resources that it has. Highly recommended!

A re-enactment of a witch trial and the dungeon where all the 'criminals/slash' witches were held. Some of the cells were extremely small. An interesting story of one supposed witch being 'pressed'. Lasts about 45 minutes. 10.00 pp.

It starts with a reenactment of one of the which trials and then shows some model of how bad things in the dungeon were. We were the only 2 people so we had 3 actors reenacting the scene just for us but they did it...More

Is this museum a bit hokey? Perhaps, but look - it's Salem, not The Smithsonian. For $10, you sit in an interesting looking theater, listen to a narrator give interesting historical context, and then watch a re-enactment (two actors, plus mannequins on a stage set)...More

I bought a combo ticket that got me into three different museums: the Witch Dungeon, the Witch History, and the New England Pirate. It cost $19, which is almost three museums for the price of two. Some of the stuff at the... More
