About
Embark on an immersive audio and visual tour at the Salem Witch Village, where you’ll learn more about Salem and the 1692 witch trials that define the city’s cultural identity. Chat with a practicing witch, discover the myths and facts surrounding witches and their craft, and shop for quaint antiques and souvenirs as you explore the mysterious village. Every October, the village hosts the iconic “Haunted Neighborhood” experience, with haunted houses, live spell casting presentations, and more. Discounted combination tickets are available for October visits, and candlelit walking tours are typically held in July, August, and October. – Tripadvisor

This is a fun area that looks really neat. Even though it's mostly just a unique shopping area, a lot of the shops are really neat and I saw lots of stuff that I wanted to buy... but most of it is too pricey to pull the trigger on.

Came here with my fiancé today, and was disappointed. This place is not how it used to be when you had a tour guide guide you through the village. All this was was a very dank and dark building that does not offer any type of an immersive experience. I am visually impaired, and even my fiancé had a hard time seeing some of the wax figures that were in there. Covid is never going away so they really need to get rid of this pre-recorded tour guide, telling you to move from scene to scene. There’s no type of enthusiasm in the guides recorded voice at all and it just feels like you’re going in an assembly line. Not worth the $12 save your money.

This was one of my favourite areas of Salem! so many cute little unique shops, and museums to see. I could have spent the entire day here but we were limited on time so I didn't nearly see all of it. Highly recommend checking it out, we went in the summer time and it wasn't that busy at all.

Visitor center is often closed so no bathrooms or tourist information. Little foot traffic on Essex st as most stores were closed. Clerks were unfriendly. No security or police was ever seen.

Couldn't wait to visit. And we visited in October. EXTREMELY disappointed!! Nothing but a tourist trapped! Oddly there are no witches, but they try and separate you and your money with witches. Prove to me that the one and only "witch house" is the real witch house!! Completely disappointed with the whole experience! Hell, their main statue is of a Hollywood witch (which I loved back in the day). My advices, look online and save your money about Salem!

The history of Salem is really interesting but, this site is dated and the town is totally overwhelmed by mardi-gras-sized crowds, drunk people, and out-of-control kids in October. It is now so over-the-top touristy, filled with cheap trinkets and huge mobs of people in every single hotel, restaurant, shop and bar. We planned to stay two nights and left after one.

This was an interesting pass-through next to the with trials memorial. We did not enter any of the buildings, but it is a convenient location as it is also next to the cemetery.

Although the exhibits are rather dated, I loved the way that the story flowed around the room giving a clear cut description of the way the Witch "scare" of 1692 started and the mass hysteria associated with it. A great history lesson that somehow keeps repeating itself every so often in a new form. Everyone visiting Salem should see this at least once.
