We learned a lot about the fascinating history of Jews in Tucson. The Holocaust museum is also very moving.

I had never been in a synagogue before, so that was pretty neat. Learned some interesting history about the Jewish presence in the area, and the mistreatment of various people groups around the world. The one thing that disappointed me in the Holocaust museum was their map of "hate" groups using information compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center. I... More

I will be taking out-of-town family here! I went with my son's middle school, and I was very impressed. It's small, but both stops (the holocaust museum and the old temple) are worth visiting and filled with interesting things to look at and think about. The new holocaust museum is especially well done. The emphasis is on local history, even... More

To learn about the history of the Jewish people in Tucson, you must pay a visit to the now Jewish History Museum. They have restored the stained glass windows, have displays of Jewish culture, civic participation, and a newly built Holocaust museum next door. ,

With the new addition of the Holocaust Museum, this museum tells the story of the Jewish community's influence on the culture of Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Wonderful museum about Jewish history in Arizona's southeast. The newly opened holocaust museum is very moving. Did not know so many survivors settled in Tucson.

We enjoyed spending some quality time and learning about the early settlers and people responsible for this building. Not a history buff but loved learning about the life and times of the Jewish people of the time.

The Tucson History Museum in Downtown Tucson is another hidden gem. The original synagogue in Tucson, the building is of historical interest and value. The docent is knowledgable and friendly and places the synagogue in its historical context for Tucson and the history of the west in general. Highly recommend .

This museum is not the largest in the world, but it certainly delivers a lot of information! The man running the front desk was kind enough to give us a small tour of the first few objects, and then let us go. It doesn't focus on the whole of Jewish history, but instead focuses on Jewish settlers in the southwest... More

This review is rather unfair, since they were between exhibits at our visit. Nevertheless, we were disappointed at how limited the permenent displays were. The upcoming exhibit was of women's dresses, which may have limited appeal. However, we did enjoy the excellent half hour recounting of the history of Jews in Tucson by a friendly docent (my wife and I... More
