Enjoy a delicate dining experience on the patio surrounded by a beautiful butterfly garden followed by a walk through their garden paths. The children love exploring each new area. Much of the park is shaded by large native trees and there are plenty of areas to rest along the way if needed. Check out their events calendar as we have... More

On a good weather day, this is an outdoor garden that's multiple acres. Lots of desert plant diversity, sculptures and wildlife to see. Green house and gift shop with unique gifts. Bistro onsite with great food and sit outside for a tranquil meal.

This is a great local park with native plants in abundance and delightful walking paths. We covered nearly all of the trails in a few hours. Lots of native plants and birds.

Tohono Chul Park is both an arid and lush retreat in NW Tucson. It attempts to offer a little bit of something to everyone, but succeeds the most in offering varied, beautiful native plants and stunning native landscape designs. This is ideal for the newcomer who knows precious little about southwest gardening except that word-- 'xeriscape.' From untouched trails that... More

Thank you for your very nice review, Aspensky1. We just wanted to let you know that we are actually in the process of updating many of our plant labels and even adding more. For the past 30 years we have worked with an outdated system of hand engraving labels, but we now have the funding to move to laser printed... More

This is several acres of native habitat. Packed with greenery and history. The docents didn't know too much which was disappointing, but everyone was friendly and the plants were amazaing. Great shop to buy plants.

Be sure to take the leisurely stroll through the park. Plan on a couple of hours so you don't miss the beauty and chance to talk with the volunteers who are very knowledgeable about everything. We went with a group of 4 and had lunch beforehand, strolled through the gift shop and nursery. The restaurant had a nice selection, well... More

Another botanical garden in the Foothills. Great restaurant and more cactus! Very easy to get to, right off Ina Road.

This is my favourite place to visit in all of Tucson. The park is beautiful, with ample area to wander and wonder. There are lovely places to sit and think and it is a little oasis in the middle of the city. There is a new "children's garden" with water feature and play area which was a huge hit with... More

Tohono Chul is a lovely little park with a nice gift shop and restaurant on the premises. The paths are easy and picturesque. Park passes are a little expensive, but 2 for 1 coupons are available with purchase of a Tucson passbook. Admission to the restaurant and gift shop is free.
