We enjoy going to Tohono Chul for the gardens, landscape, gift shops and restaurant during the various season. We tend to take our guests that at one time or another. Tohono Chul is a peaceful botanical park with beautiful gardens and nice art throughout the grounds. It has an excellent gift shop featuring items of the Sonoran Desert. The Tea Room is a nice little restaurant on the grounds serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is good and reasonably priced.

The restaurant (bistro) has both inside and outside seating, and is located in a parklike setting. enjoy a walk around the local flora and fauna either before or after your meal. The staff is attentive, but not 'pushy'.

This is a must see for any horticulturally minded visitor to or resident of Tucson. From being greeted and informed about the park by ticketing hostess Michele to touring the park's trails and habitats to visiting the park's nursery at which Leith was a font of information, I was nothing but impressed and enjoyed every minute there. Each year we stop here for lunch because the food is varied and very good and because the seating both inside and out on the garden patio is so appealing. It was the perfect day to go! Not too hot yet and a lot of the plants were flowering. The tortoise was hiding and they hadn't started spring cleaning but the gardens and water features were beautiful.
